M. D. Anderson Library edit

The name of the main library is "M. D. Anderson Library" and does not have "Memorial" as part of it.[1] You will find that is the official name if you look at the website, course catalog, and any other university publications throughout many years. Brian, perhaps you should ask Dean Dana Rooks regarding the official name. I, myself, worked at the M. D. Anderson Library from 2002 through 2005 and can attest that the official name does not include "Memorial" in it. Please go to the library in person or email a librarian via online via "Ask A Librarian" to inquire about the name. —RJN (talk) 03:12, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you look at the Houstonian yearbooks, newspaper articles, and official university documents from years ago, the library was named the "M.D. Anderson Memorial Library". I may be able to contact Dana Rooks about this because I think it's arguable either way. Brianreading (talk) 05:05, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
You are correct on that one and I agree. It was dedicated as "M. D. Anderson Memorial Library," but hasn't been referred to that in a while. The university hasn't used "Memorial" as part of its name in recent years. —RJN (talk) 06:00, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Clarification edit

Students 'have the ability to check out circulating volumes' - should 'from any of the several libraries' (or similar phrase) be added? Jackiespeel (talk) 15:37, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
