Proposal for Article Scope to Change edit

Hi all,

I'm reading this, and I'm noticing that the article is very essay-like. The article's lead appears to read like it has a thesis, while the body focuses around the "extent" to which the United States is a tax haven. I can find academic papers that describe Delaware as a tax haven, though I don't think the scholarly consensus generally frames the United States writ large as a tax haven. Generally, from what I can tell, the United States is juxtaposed with tax-haven countries in the vast majority of studies, and it isn't included on many lists of tax havens (financial secrecy alone doesn't typically qualify for a tax haven status). There might be room for this to transform into an article on Delaware as a tax haven (specifically through its implementation of the Delaware LLC), given scholarly studies in that direction. I understand that this would be a substantial shift in the scope of the article's content and focus, so I wanted to see if there were any objections to this before I make edits in that direction. — Mikehawk10 (talk) 20:16, 8 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
