uh, ship is named after bedford, indiana - search online and you'll find pictures of the ship's commissioning plaque and the commemorative plaque (also from onboard) describing the namesake town in indiana. you can also go to the lawrence county museum in bedford, indiana and see the commissioning bottle and various photos of the ship's sponsor, etc. - betcha you can't say the same about the town in virginia listed as the namesake in this wiki article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.51.66.32 (talk) 21:41, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
