Talk:U.S. Courthouse

After creating an article for a federal courthouse that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as U.S. Courthouse I then disovered that there are several others listed in the NRHP. They were then redlinked to this page as shown by the "what links here" function so I created a disam page. Another editor converted this to a redirect, and when I approached them they simply referenced WP:OWN (odd since they don't seem to want their redirect edited) without any sort of policy based rationale. Which is better? Aboutmovies (talk) 08:30, 20 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

This kind of disambiguation page is routinely created for NRHP buildings per Wikipedia:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places/Disambiguation and serves to disambiguate the half dozen or so buildings whose official NRHP name is simply "U.S. Courthouse". A disambiguation page seems to be the better choice here. There is no obvious US Courthouse that the reader might be searching for, so setting up a redirect to a particular one is unnecessary.--Danaman5 (talk) 08:14, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
