Needs a lot of work edit

After reading this article, I am really confused as to who is who and what they did. I tried to do some internet research to get some basic information for cleanup, but I had a difficult time finding good sources. I toyed with radically stubbing the article to give it a fresh start. However, there is a lot of stuff here, and maybe someone with some knowledge in the subject can make some sense of it. So, I added a number of appropriate tags to see if that draws any interest. -Kubigula (ave) 23:27, 6 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

A CORRECTION edit

In the biographical article regarding Raja Tridiv Roy, Federal Minister, Government of Pakistan in the Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, the following explanation/correction from Raja Tridiv Roy needs to be made:

Raja Tridiv Roy does not know Syed Saleem Abbas who is said to have written the book titled Jaanbaz. The book also is not traceable. Raja Tridiv did not send anyone to Bangladesh to bring his wife and son to Pakistan . His wife visited Pakistan in 1978, with proper travel documents.

He did not “escape to Pakistan ” but was called to Islamabad in November 1971 to represent Pakistan as a Special Envoy to South and South East Asian countries to try and find a political resolution to the civil war in East Pakistan . While he was in Bangkok , the fall of Dhaka took place on 16 December 1971 . He returned to Pakistan . Subsequently he was inducted into the first elected Pakistan government of Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in December 1971.

Also his son’s supposed revolt is another figment of the imagination. Until his majority when he succeeded his father as the Chakma Raja, the minor’s uncle was appointed regent by the Bangladesh Government.

Anyone interested in the memoirs of Raja Tridiv Roy is welcome to read “The Departed Melody”. It is available with the author in Islamabad .
