Notes
editAccording to the Treaty of Vienna signed on 3 October 1866 and ratified on the 12th, the Austrian Empire ceded Venetia and Mantua to the French Empire, which in turn would cede them to the Kingdom of Italy in exchange for the earlier Italian acquiescence to the French annexation of Savoy and Nice, under the reservation of the "consent of the people duly consulted". — Preceding unsigned comment added by AbandonedLine79 (talk • contribs) 02:19, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
