Some criticisms of CIBIL on this page have been removed by Archika. Due to the nature of the information added in it's place, I believe it is possible that said user works on behalf of CIBIL. However some of the information added is useful. 120.138.113.65 (talk) 08:00, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

The last time it was claimed that this is an advertising for some company. The person to claim it was an Australian user who has now retired.

All the Indian partners in this venture are Indian govt owned banks and there is not need for an advertisement because that is currently the only credit agency in India

"A tag has been placed on CIBIL, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because CIBIL is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article"

I wonder why the same tag has not been put on dun and bradstreet? I am not linked with the company anyway which is actually related to Reserve Bank of India. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nagendrapsingh (talkcontribs) 02:47, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

The tag was apparently placed on a previous version of the article, back in January. The current article was created in July and has not been nominated for speedy deletion. --Bonadea (talk) 10:10, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article states: "Credibility of the CiBIL is questionable due to poor record keeping." - We need a reference for this. Else this sounds like a biased statement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 106.51.173.147 (talk) 18:34, 1 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

MIS REPRESENTATION OF SCORE

edit

CIBIL DOESNT SOUND A RESPONSIBLE COMPANY TO FACILITATE RIGHT INFORMATION TO CREDIT INSTITUTION, AS MY SCORE HAVE WRONG INFORMATION, I SEE THAT COMPANY HAVE INTENTION NOT TO ALLOW BANKS FACILITATE LOANS TO INDIVIDUAL AND IT ALSO DOESNT WANT THE INDIVIDUAL TO GET LOAN, IT IS STOPPING THE GROWTH IN EITHER WAY FOR BOTH BY CREATING WRONG INFORMATION. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.108.20.154 (talk) 09:04, 31 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I agree with above comment. There is absolutely no check over quality of data being entered by financial institutions on the credit profile of customer. Even financial institutions are free to enter other's data without matching individual's identities. In my credit report there is a mention of loan account which is written off by the bank (resulting in drastic reduction in CIBIL score), which belongs to some one else whose identity does not match with my identity. Even his name is different.

Customers are forced to subscribe CIBIL report by paying hefty fee when their loan is rejected by Banks due to wrong entry in their credit record. The question is why customers are charged for verifying details of entries made by financial institutions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Singhop (talkcontribs) 00:51, 29 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
