Connection to Total Beverage

When I first heard of "Total Wine & More" I wondered how it might be related to the old "Total Beverage" chain run by the Haft family. When I searched WP for "Total Beverage" it jumped me directly to this article.

Doing some research, I found a Washington Business Journal Article about the Trones, stating:

Anyone know what "Total Wine" was called before its acquisition of "Total Beverage?" The article currently implies that it was always Total Wine, but the WBJ article states otherwise. John2510 (talk) 21:03, 27 March 2018 (UTC)

According to http://www.bethesdamagazine.com/Bethesda-Magazine/November-December-2015/Philanthropists-of-the-year-Total-Wine-Trone/, after starting in Delaware, they grew the company "then called Liquor World, through the 1990s". —ADavidB 02:59, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

CEOs

Kevin Peters was apparently the first non-family CEO of the company, named in 2015, effective January 2016. He apparently lasted for less than one year, and was succeeded by Adam Orvos, who was in the position for a year, leaving in September 2017. The company currently (May 2020) doesn't list a CEO on its "Our Leadership" page.
