editI would put the neutrality of this article under discussion [unsigned]
What specifically do you have a problem with? I went out of my way to avoid bias when I wrote this article. CJCurrie 17:54, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Liberals for Life rule
editI wonder whether the sentences these sentences really belong here: "The Liberal constitution was amended following Chrétien's victory, permitting the leader to appoint candidates in certain ridings. Chrétien defended the change as necessary to prevent "single-issue groups" from taking over the Liberal Party. It was generally understood that Liberals for Life was the primary target of this remark.[14]" It strikes me that this more properly belongs in the Liberals for Life article, and that it is tangential to Wappel himself. (I will not be offended if someone reverts me on this: perhaps a rewrite to make the connection more explicit is in order?) Bucketsofg 05:00, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- It's relevant to Wappel in the sense that LFL took control of several constituency organizations during the 1990 leadership campaign, and in the two-year period that followed. I see your point, however -- Wappel did not have a formal leadership role in the organization, and it may be peripheral to his page. CJCurrie 22:32, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
