I have removed the following text from the page:
Bishop Brown is extremely unpopular in traditional Catholic circles who charge Bishop Brown as being liberal in regards to gay marriage and abortion. He is criticized for allowing pro-choice Rep. Loretta Sanchez to receive communion, a move which his predecessor, Bishop McFarland, vehemently opposed during the time in which he served as bishop. He has been accused of suppressing kneeling during the Agnus Dei. Recently, due to the impending motu proprio by Pope Benedict XVI, Bishop Brown has permitted the Tridentine Mass on an experimental basis in the Diocese of Orange, whereas previously it was restricted to Mission San Juan Capistrano. This move has quelled some of the anger of some conservative Catholics.
Bishop Brown has also received some criticism for requiring diocesan produced Pastoral Appeal video to be shown at Sunday Mass at every parish in September of 2006 in place of the homily, which seemingly conflicts with Canon Law 767, which states that the Sunday homily may not be omitted and furthermore requires the presider to deliver the homily.
Until the article is expanded, it is extremely unbalanced to include these two critical paragraphs coming from a minor (if vehement) group of dissidents. Once the article is expanded, it may be worthwhile to restore these two paragraphs to the main article underneath a criticism section.
