Merge to History of Kentucky
editWith all due respect to CQ and Thomas D. Clark, the material in this article really does belong in the new History of Kentucky article. Therefore, I've added the mergeto template to the article. Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 23:37, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, OK Stevietheman. You're right, it should eventually be part of the History article. Can we keep it here for a while though, or maybe move it to Wikipedia:WikiProject Kentucky/Almanac? I just like the "timeline" approach. It could be later converted to a nice graphical addition to the History of Kentucky article. I'm open to whatever needs to be done. CQ 19:00, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- I have no issue whatsoever with maintaining it for future deployment. It's definitely a good idea for presenting historical points of interest. As I said in the project talk, I've just had a concern that it not outpace the main history article, or that it would work out better if the main history article was more fleshed out first. - I'm with ya' all the way, Stevie. We obviously (and naturally) have different styles of creating/editing content. I prefer doing things in outline form before writing prose. It looks like you go strait into writing prose. The diversity in styles is what make W'pedia so great! Hopefully other members of WikiProject Kentucky will get as excited about the History of Kentucky as you and I are, eh? I'm learning all sorts of things! BTW, I think Kentucky in the Civil War warrents its own article. CQ 18:54, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

What to include
editThis Chronology is intended to be inclusive in scope. Any and everything that has a specific date or date range should be included, regardless of noteability concerns which can be addressed as we develop it. I have included a "Notes" section for using inline footnotes (Characterized by the <ref>some citation</ref> container. Please familiarize your self with these and add them wherever you can. This will also help in the development of other articles including the History of Kentucky and Kentucky in the Civil War articles. Keep in mind that the Timeline of Kentucky history article is a step along the way of providing a comprehensive treatment of Kentucky's History, so by all means, Be bold but Cite your sources! • CQ 21:34, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
