editThis article was a verbatim copy from the subject's staff page at the university where he now teaches. This person may well meet the requirements for notability, but any rewrite of the article needs to have reliable sources, independent of the subject, to verify it. Academics write books and articles, it's their job. Show that his work has been influential.Voceditenore (talk) 08:22, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
- He seems to meet points 5 & 8, as a distinguished professor and former joint editor of Music & Letters. I don't have any familiarity with Music & Letters, but Oxford at least seems proud of it: http://www.oxfordjournals.org/our_journals/musicj/about.html. :) I've replaced the copyvio with basic information, but tagged it with refimprove. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:55, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
