Discography edit

Is it incomplete? I have a Christmas split between them and Good Clean Fun24.108.153.22 (talk) 10:02, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Technical what? edit

Perhaps I'm being blind but I can't tell what the problem with "Throwdown" as a title for this article is. The band's website seems to show "Throwdown" and the note at the top says "Throwdown". If no one has any objections, I'm going to remove the notice?--TheGrza 03:46, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps the error is that the name should be in blackletter. In any case, I think you can remove the notice. -Willmcw 18:52, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

NPOV edit

well well well who can tell me what's wrong with this article? riiiight there's no NPOV! so it would be nice if somebody could correct that... --83.135.79.221 11:47, 4 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Genre edit

The Genre section is poorly written, unsubstantiated, and not helpful to the article. I will remove it. --L.A.F. 01:49, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Metalcore? They are hardcore-metal. It`s not the same —Preceding unsigned comment added by Matipxc (talkcontribs) 02:25, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Straight Edge edit

The article seems to imply they no longer follow the Straight Edge principles, is this the case? Or does it just need a rewrite? Paul Tew 15:11, 14 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Q: Are you guys (still) straight edge?
A: Yes. [1]

question edit

are they christian?

'Bold text'They have a song called burn, the themes of their album covers usually have snakes or demons, symbols of satan, im guessing they are not christian.

Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. No they aren't Christian, but they don't have symbols of satan, nore do they have demons on the covers of they're albums...They have a rosary on the cover of Vendetta...

Who's to say they are not Christian. The band Demon Hunter has a goat skull on their album cover, and they are openly Christian in their lyric writing process. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.16.150.135 (talk) 08:56, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Excerpt of lyrics from their song, "Annihilation": "new world disorder- Anti-christs we kneel before". It then goes on about bowing down to "Gods of violence". That sound Christian to you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by JackorKnave (talkcontribs) 20:33, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

You've misunderstood the section you've quoted there. Also, ex-bassist Dom is a Christian. Diabolical (talk) 20:36, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Citation edit

There should be a citation where they are said to have made references to being a Hardcore band.

I found one. Here it is.

Metalcore? edit

Most of their work was hardcore, and recently they are becoming more groove metal, or so I thought. Definitely doesn't sound like metalcore, but I'm going by their 3 latest albums.86.46.198.198 (talk) 15:04, 6 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

How were they ever a hardcore punk band? Sure, some riffs here and there were hardcore riffs, but most early Throwdown was a mix of nu-metal and crossover with raspy metal vocals. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they weren't part of the hardcore scene, because they certainly were, but they were never a hardcore punk band. 69.254.1.61 (talk) 12:55, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
It doesn't matter what YOU THINK. It matters what is sourced. Hsxeric (talk) 19:10, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
MusicMight? Find a decent source. 69.254.1.61 (talk) 08:39, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Music Might seems like a more valid source than that Allmusic page, which lists Haymaker's genre as 'pop-rock'. Freikorp (talk) 09:48, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
MusicMight allows site members to edit band pages, and that alone should prove it unreliable. 69.254.1.61 (talk) 00:50, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
