Reception & Critical response edit

Did you thought of making a Box Office performance & a critical response table? If you don't know how I can help you, if you want.

You are allowed to help edit Wikipedia any time you want. That's what Wikipedia is all about. Just don't be redundant to other pages related to this. That's my biggest issue with these kind of articles lately. Jhenderson 777 13:57, 19 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Move request. edit

I request that this title should probably be renamed Thor (Marvel Comics) in other media as TriiipleThreat said. Jhenderson 777 04:04, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Reasoning:Thor is a mythological character who has been used constantly in popular culture. He has most likely been used in film outside of this version. Jhenderson 777 04:06, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • I say we take this even further and just merge it back to the Thor (Marvel Comics) in other media page. I don't see why this page is overly necessary. All info can be covered on that page in respective sections. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:12, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
    • That's what I just said on the WikiProject Film page...but I didn't think we got a clear consensus on it. That's when TriiipleThreat said what I said he did. Jhenderson 777 23:32, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Redirect to Thor (Marvel Comics) in other media. It appears the only justification for this article is WP:OTHERSTUFF exists. If no concensus is reached for the redirect. I would support the move as reasoned above.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 00:34, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

If the consensus is to redirect this article to Thor (Marvel Comics) in other media, should we then not do the same to Iron Man in film, Hulk in film and Captain America in film as well? Richiekim (talk) 20:50, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hulk in film (mostly due to having many animated movies of him more than just having live-action films starring him) and Iron Man in film (mostly because of the film series and one animated movie) is fine to me. Captain America in film I am nut sure of. Still one serial, straight to video film and an theatrical film (with a upcoming sequel) as a title character is better than just a film with two theatrical films and a animated film with him being a title character. That just ain't enough yet. Jhenderson 777 20:59, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thor has several animated films as well as his appearance in a Hulk TV movie. So it's not MCU appearances for him. Richiekim (talk) 21:09, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
I know but I said "title character" for a reason. Films about the Avengers or a tv movie guest starring him along with a segment in a Hulk movie should not really count. Jhenderson 777 21:15, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Excluding the Hulk movie, Thor's appearances are pretty much the same as Iron Man's (MCU solo films & animated films) Richiekim (talk) 21:23, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yeah but he has a three film film series that is 13th highest-grossing film series of all time box office wise. That alone makes sense why there is a article on him. Also if Thor has three films then there could be a article on this. It just probably ain't ready for there to be a article on this yet until we get quite a few more films. Jhenderson 777

I think my issue with these pages is that, with the exception of the Hulk one, they are all skewed towards the MCU films, and include character tables that do not need to be reproduced, as well as the critical reception tables. Both can be done with prose (or not at all), and if those are gone, what's really left that warrants a whole page. That was my feeling behind just moving this (and maybe others) back to their "in other media" pages. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:49, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

I hear you, man. If these articles wouldn't be saying the same thing as other articles are saying. We would get somewhere with these things....but we are not. Also regarding Hulk in film. Doesn't anybody think a lot of the development from Hulk (film) belongs there. Because a lot of it are technically development of different Hulk films beside the Ang Lee one. I am mainly afraid to though. Because I am afraid that could hinder the film article of still being GA quality. Jhenderson 777 15:10, 6 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Technical issue: I don't think this move request was properly listed so it was never closed.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:24, 16 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

True. Though, do we have a concensus to bring it to RM? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:20, 17 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about that...but I do believe we have a consensus for bold merging though. Jhenderson 777 03:29, 17 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

After more than a week open, no additional editors provided options, but consensus is clear to merge. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:39, 29 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

This page should be merged into Thor (Marvel Comics) in other media. All relevant info (ie not the cast table or reception section, as those can be found on individual pages or better yet, the Marvel Cinematic Universe page) can easily fit in a section on that page. This one happens to be easy, as most of the info is already on that page, so merge this should be easy. Please note similar proposals occurring at Captain America in film, Iron Man in film and Hulk in film. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:41, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Comment If you want. You can place all merge consensus on the thread I started above over here. Also I feel that this should be merged. For many reasons stated above. Jhenderson 777 15:32, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
