I am reading a box of Twinings Earl Grey tea. It says "In 1706 Thomas Twining started selling fine teas in England." So, who was the tea merchant? Thomas, or Daniel? Who has got it wrong? the Twinings company in 2007, or Britannica in 1911? Or is there more than one Thomas Twining? mike40033 (talk) 04:11, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't think anyone has necessarily got anything wrong. The Thomas on your package may be the father or grandfather or uncle of Daniel. There may have been several Twinings selling tea separately. Bmcln1 (talk) 21:37, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
