A Religious First?

edit

Can he be claimed to be the first Spiritualist Member of Parliament, or were there others? (I do not count dabblers, rather adherents of the Spiritualist Church). Cloptonson (talk) 22:01, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: Move to Thomas Brooks (Labour politician) per consensus that there's no ptopic and Necrothesp's reasoning on the disambiguator.  — Amakuru (talk) 13:54, 27 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

– There are twelve men named Thomas, Tom, Thom and Tommy Brooks listed at the Thomas Brooks (disambiguation) page — too many for a nine-year MP to be singled out as the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC among them. Since the American politician Thomas Overton Brooks was primarily known as Overton Brooks, an argument may be made that the streamlined qualifier "(politician)" would be sufficient for the MP. An uncertain claim of participation in political activity may also be made for Thomas Brooks, 1st Baron Crawshaw, who briefly served in the ceremonial office as High Sheriff of Lancashire.     Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 07:38, 19 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
