All the values I've added in the 'Amount Donated' column are verifiable via the episodes, it was difficult to find online sources. However anyone with the ability to go back to the episodes will be sure of their accuracy. - Razz88 I updated Tony banks donations just for accuracy. Airdates

Have added the original airdates of the UK episodes. I notice IMDB has a question by episode one of the third series. For the record it was aired on 5 August. I still have a TV listings magazine for that week so have checked the date. TheRetroGuy (talk) 20:25, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Reality show or documentary?

Someone keeps changing the description of this show from "reality show" to "documentary" and even "formatted documentary". I've changed it back because I feel calling it a documentary is a bit misleading. Any thoughts on this? TheRetroGuy (talk) 11:27, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Absolutely not a documentary, but I think you're too kind to dismiss it as a harmless reality show. This is propaganda of the most perfidious and insidious type, and that's why someone is being paid to doctor Wikipedia. Why don't they just have a show to teach poor people how to succeed by gambling on the horses? I have to admit that the conception is kind of brilliant, however. A very few rich people get to feel all self-righteous about donating a few days out of their vacation while encouraging a few suckers in reducing a tiny bit of the suffering. Who needs any large-scale effort to reduce poverty and suffering? Heaven forbid the government should try to help people! No wonder England is sinking so fast--leading the way down the toilet. (I only saw this show for the first time about two weeks ago. Obviously I was impressed--by the EVIL.) Shanen (talk) 01:24, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

Split

Beside the US and the UK version, there's also the Australian, the Irish... It would be overkill to have different pages for each one of them. These shows have much more in common than they differ. There is no good reason for the split. Let's keep it all within a single article. Tiny differences (e.g. the 100,000 US$ lower bound for the US show) can be introduced within the relevant sub-sections. AugustinMa (talk) 14:48, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

IMO we should not list all the episodes on this page - rather redirect to the List of Secret Millionaire episodes page Gbawden (talk) 06:54, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
