... that according to The Scout Mindset, Spock isn't very good at logic? Source: "In her new book The Scout Mindset: Why Some People See Things Clearly and Others Don't, Center for Applied Rationality co-founder Julia Galef attempted to tabulate just how successful Spock's "logical" way of living actually is in various Star Trek adventures. ... The results, at least for Galef, speak for themselves. Spock is not the model of reason and logic pop culture has led us to believe he is."[1]

Source: "One reason The Scout Mindset took five years to publish is that Galef wanted it to be evidence-based, and after scrutinizing the methodology of the studies she was citing, she lost confidence in much of it and ended up rewriting large sections. "Maybe this is too meta, but the thesis of my book has changed a lot over time," Galef says."[2]
