"on the rehearsal" edit

I've already corrected this to "at the rehearsal", but I now wonder if this should read "at a rehearsal". The problem is that this article was evidently not written by a native English-speaker, but (presumably) by a Croatian-speaker, and Croatian has no definite or indefinite articles - so you often can't tell if "a" or "the" (or nothing at all) was intended. Speakers of Slavic languages regularly omit or misuse "a(n)" and "the" when writing Wiki articles in English. In this case the photo caption in the Croatian version of the article simply gives the presenter's name - the words for "at a/the rehearsal" aren't even there (and even if they were, I still couldn't tell which was meant). Another basic error (which I've also corrected) was "secund" instead of "second" (occurred twice). How I wish non-natives would have their English checked by a native before posting articles! Wikipedia must not become a vehicle for the spread of imperfect, unchecked English, as other people will just copy it, and the quality of Wikipedia English will get even worse than it already is. English has grammatical and spelling rules - you can't just translate your own language literally and think the result is good, comprehensible English.213.127.210.95 (talk) 16:38, 1 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
