Michael Murphy, Ju Ju Bean Founder, Pig Faced Man

None of the Michael Murphys listed on wikipedia are founders of the Ju Ju Beans, irritable bowel sufferers or pig-faced men. The Ju Ju Beans are a band in Oklahoma. I see this notable alumnus was introduced by 90.208.58.137 in January this year. I strongly suspect him to be a bogus post. Well done 90.208.58.137 for having the wit to post something just the right side of blatantly absurd and add the camouflage of respectability of a blue wiki link. It might have lasted for ever if you hadn't tipped the balance by adding pig-faced man in a circus to Murphy's CV.Robocon1 (talk) 17:00, 16 December 2013 (UTC)

"Sir" Gilbert Lathum

The sidebar shows the Founder as Sir Gilbert Lathum. I've never seen any reference to his being knighted anywhere else. Can anyone verify it?Robocon1 (talk) 16:18, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

I always understood the conventional spelling was LATHAM.

Obviously the further back one goes, the less standardised the orthography was -- even Wm. Shakespeare spelled his own name three or four different ways .. but perhaps we could standardise on one spelling throughout?? --Nigelroberts (talk) 16:20, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

Until it was edited by 93.187.7.132 in July 2020, the single mention in the article was spelt Lathum, as it was and still is in the sidebar. It's spelt Lathum in F. A. Bailey's history of the school published for the 400th anniversary which is the basis for this article, and on the front of the booklet commemorating the opening of the new buildings in 1924, and in the list of the school's benefactors on the wall tablet in Prescot church. It's also spelt Lathum on the Prescot Museum website: http://www.prescotmuseum.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Prescot-Schools.pdf On that basis I would suggest that the edit by 93.187.7.132 which altered the spelling to Latham be reverted.
