Help!

edit

I know this page is much longer than the other Friends episodes, but I was trying to include as much as possible. Please make any improvements you think are necessary. Thanks. Dalton Imperial 23:23, 4 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Was the turkey on Joey’s head inspired by Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean? That particular episode aired in 1992; this particular flashback occurs in 1992. (205.250.167.76 19:48, 25 March 2007 (UTC))Reply

Rachel and Chandler

edit

I'm tempted to remove the continuity error about Rachel appearing not to know Chandler, because that is more speculation than anything explicit.

The way she acts towards him in the Pilot and The One With the Flashback is most easily explained by her not remembering him. Remember that she was in "Rachel Land" (as Brad Pitt's character in a Thanksgiving episode would say) and probably wouldn't have thought about him at all since they last met. It is implied that they didn't meet many times before The Pilot anyway, and since Rachel had been out of touch with Monica for years - not even inviting her to Rachel's wedding - it's less likely that she would be very familiar or friendly towards Chandler.

C'mon, when you're 26 it's not likely that you'd immediately recognise your high school friend's brother's college room mate who you've only met a few times in passing. And even in the 80s flashbacks where they are seen together, they don't really talk much at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zelda199 (talkcontribs) 20:42, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) losing an arm in past lives should be "Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) losing arms in past lives"
  • "accidentally cutting off Chandler's toe after calling her "fat" in their first encounter." should be "accidentally cutting off Chandler's toe after he called her "fat" in their first encounter."
  • "When Monica begs Chandler to forgive," add 'her' after forgive
  • "Monica then tells the group what she thinks is her worst Thanksgiving: in 1987, Ross brings Chandler home for Thanksgiving, where Monica, who is overweight, overhears the latter call her fat." This sentence is very confusing. I'd recommend breaking it up into two and rewording. Who called whom fat and who overheard it?
  • Production: "When discussing for different story ideas" remove 'for'
  • Production: "Therefore it was difficult to keep the characters', particuarly Chandler spontaneously mad for something that happened "years ago"." I think there's a comma missing in here somewhere, also particularly is spelled wrong
  • Production: "A weaving, invisible to the audience was placed…" comma after 'audience'
  • Production: "Due to safety, the scene involving Monica dropping a knife, severing Chandler's toe was pre shot." Change to "Due to safety, the scene involving Monica dropping a knife and severing Chandler's toe was pre-shot."
  • Production: add a reference to the last sentence of the production section
  • Cultural References: "The inspiration for Phoebe's character in a past life spurting blood was the Bassomatic commercial on Saturday Night Live, starring Dan Aykroyd." Maybe explain this a little better.
  • Reception: "The authors of Friends Like Us: The Unofficial Guide to Friends write…" Change 'write' to 'wrote'
  • References: On No. 10, you can remove 'staff writer' and just leave it blank

Continuity error

edit

Why was there a raw turkey for Monica to wear? Am I to believe they had a huge second uncooked Turkey after they had already eaten Thanksgiving dinner? 73.193.4.174 (talk) 04:50, 24 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
