Archive of older text edit

In early 2003, Celebrity Mole Hawaii, hosted by Ahmad Rashad, debuted on Wednesdays with fewer contestants and a smaller potential pot. In January 2004, Celebrity Mole Yucatan again featured Ahmad Rashad hosting the show as a mid-season replacement. Popular contestants Corbin Bernsen and Stephen Baldwin returned for a second time. Following the fourth season, ABC did not renew the show, and no other network has picked up The Mole. DVD releases of the first and third season were released.

Following the competitions of their respective seasons on ABC, both Celebrity Mole Hawaii and Celebrity Mole Yucatan were rerun in their entirety as marathons on ABC Family. Both featured additional interviews and commentary from the contestants. GSN acquired the rights to the program in early 2004. Celebrity Mole Hawaii and then the first season of The Mole were shown in their entireties at varying timeslots on GSN. However, the series was pulled and the remaining seasons were not aired due to low ratings and changes at the network. Fox Reality began showing reruns of the series in July 2007, and has aired all four editions.

Centralized TV Episode Discussion edit

Over the past months, TV episodes have been redirected by (to name a couple) TTN, Eusebeus and others. No centralized discussion has taken place, so I'm asking everyone who has been involved in this issue to voice their opinions here in this centralized spot, be they pro or anti. Discussion is here [1]. Even if you have not, other opinions are needed because this issue is affecting all TV episodes in Wikipedia. --Maniwar (talk) 04:07, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article Redo edit

I was looking at other TV articles, such as 24, Numb3rs and Survivor and was wondering how feasible it would be to redo this one to be more like the those. My thinking was to move this current page to The Mole (Season 1) or The Mole (2001 US TV series) and make the "The Mole (US TV series)" page more of an overview of the show, brief descriptions of the seasons and such. S. Ellis (talk) 06:15, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I just realized "US" should be "U.S." and "Season" should be "season" in my proposal. So my newest name proposal is The Mole (U.S. Season 1) as per WP: Season naming. I am still fairly new to all the procedures, despite being a member for a few years (I usually just do minor edits), so if I'm doing something wrong, please let me know, thanks. S. If I could put my two cents worth, I really think that this article title "The Mole (US TV Series) should become either a disambiguation article which links to more in depth articles describing each season; or this article should describe just the basic rules, and all of the more in-depth data on the show be moved to a new article The Mole: Season 1. It's just too confusing now with the 2008 return of the show, because the title of this article makes it seem like this article is about the show in general, not just season 1. I defiantely recommend this article be moved or renamed. --Mezaco (talk) 03:20, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think we have the same idea in mind. Based on the season naming conventions (since the US isn't the only one to have done a mole season 1), I believe the current article should be moved to The Mole (U.S. Season 1) and this current one (fixed to The Mole (U.S. TV series) again to match the naming conventions) be the general show rules and such. Requested move edit

The Mole (US TV series) → The Mole (US TV Series): Season 1 or ?? - The article title is misleading. The title The Mole (US TV Series) sounds like a generic article about the show in general, but the article in fact only describes Season 1. However, a new season of the show is starting in a few weeks (June 2), which ABC is calling only The Mole. This will make the current article confusing. --Mezaco (talk) 03:35, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Note. The nomination on WP:RM is incomplete. It seems a step was skipped. B.Wind (talk) 03:31, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Support When I worked on these pages a couple years ago, it really didn't matter much...the series was "dead" at the time. I've always felt that they were disorganized, but at the time, it felt like useless work. now that the series is days away, it needs an organizational overhaul...at least as far as page titles are concerned. Doctorindy (talk) 12:41, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have changed the request since it was incomplete. The proposal is now The Mole (U.S. Season 1), similar to the U.S. Apprentice series. S. Ellis (talk) 19:15, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

Remake Request edit

We should remake this page so it looks like the other pages of US season moles. DarkFireYoshi (talk) 19:17, 21 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ideally, yes; it should. But someone has to find the time to do it. Feel free, if you have the time. TheHYPO (talk) 08:48, 22 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Verb tense edit

Why are the episode summaries written in the present tense? They should surely be written in the past tense. After all, these events have, obviously, already happened. They are not and should not be conceived to be a narrative; they are, at their core, a simple reporting of events that have already taken place. I see some nice, tedious busywork in my future.
