What the heck is this?

- The article War in Somalia was the work of a lot of people, not just one person. Wikipedia articles are the contribution of many people. All the rest of us that have contributed a lot to the article in many ways, in different times and extents have equal rights, not just the creator of the article. Number 2, the article is not exactly the same as the other one and it has few additions and changes. Number 3, most analysts who study and know about this event have described the war as one of the shortest wars, especially since it was originally claimed to be a war lasting years with other nations in Africa starting full scale war. Instead of such predictions occuring, the opposite has happened. And the war was suddenly finished, which is the reason why many call it "The minute war" Number 4 reason goes along number 3 reason because the label "2006-present" doesn't have any accuracy. Unless we want to label all historical wars as "on going," it is inaccurate to label the war as "2006-present." Guerrilla fights and attached/extended conflicts occur after all wars around the world, especially Africa. That doesn't mean the wars should be labeled as "on going" or as "2006-present" or as "1977-present" etc. Particularly since the Ethiopian forces have already been withdrawing. Number 5, the label "war in Somalia" itself is too general and ambigious. There have been various wars in Somalia. Ethiopia and Somalia fought before in the Ogaden War also. Simply saying "war in Somalia" doesn't distinguish it. Also if we read more about the conflicts in this area, even attaching dates will not make them distinctive (particularly since "--present" was descriptive of the "on going" Guerrilla fights) because these type of fights are continuous and frequent enough that we would be forced to use the label "forever" unless we evualuate how to catagorize the battles in this region of Africa. - The war lasted nearly a month, and consisted of several bloody pitched battles. Also, it wasn't so much a war as a military intervention in an already ensuing conflict, which had been going on for over three months. I say delete. --Ingoman 16:26, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
