Third kid edit

If there is a third kid... What is his name? What was distinctive aboot him in regards to the other three? Why he was left behind? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.48.226.60 (talkcontribs)

I first started reading the Katzenjammer Kids over 70 years ago. One of my all time favorite comics. Yes there was a 'third kid'. His name was "Rollo", a city cousin of Hans and Fritz. He was always a bit more dressed up than the twins. His main purpose in life was to cause trouble for the kids and anyone else who happened to be near. Rollo's pranks usually backfired on him. I did not know until recently that he is not listed in the characters portrayed. I have no idea why he might have been dropped. Hope this helps.

I remember Rollo. Wasn't he a cousin, who came to visit them at times, and as said, he was as bad as they were? I remember a girl of the same age too.(80.31.144.16 (talk) 15:34, 26 September 2015 (UTC))Reply

Heligoland? edit

As I recall, the family (or Der Captain, at least) was from Heligoland. He was always saying "Back to Heligoland, Lena!" This is kindof odd, since Heligoland is a German island in the North Sea that was--at least when the strip was created--a vestigial posession of Great Britain! Yet nothing is ever made of this oddity (that I can recall)

Actually, the UK transferred Heligoland to Germany in 1890, seven years before the strip began. --Metropolitan90 06:49, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't know how to do it, but the main article does not include "Aunt Lena," and as she was one of the main characters, I think she should be so listed. It was she who when reporting the misdemeanors of Hanz and Fritz would report to the Captain or to Momma, "They brought it all on themselves." Why is the article in italics?

Piracy template? edit

Why is the Piracy template on this page (at the bottom). I'd remove it myself but maybe I'm missing something? Herostratus (talk) 01:11, 16 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Magnet edit

The strip appeared titled "The Bunsey Boys", a one page picture story in the comic section of The Magnet, #'s 233-243, 245, 246 (1912). The boys were called Georgie and Ferdy. (80.31.144.16 (talk) 15:32, 26 September 2015 (UTC))Reply
