Talk:The Gay Rub

JalenFolf I undid the redirect yesterday and was about to continue editing both the Steven Reigns page and this page when there was a sudden power outage. Hope to complete the edits in my next session! The original merge was a bold edit made without any discussion. The content of this page was inserted into the Steven Reigns page, making that page long and clunky (and triggering a cleanup request). This merged content also warped the proportions of the Reigns page, making it seem as though The Gay Rub is his main work, which it is not. I would additionally argue that as The Gay Rub is an ongoing collaboration/touring exhibition, leading to the creation of secondary scholarly and artistic works as well as being a collection of significance to LGBT history, then it is a discrete subject as per WP:MERGEREASON and justifies having a separate page. Please could you undo the redirect once more so I can get to work editing this page and removing the duplicate content from the Steven Reigns page (and doing a general cleanup on that]. Thank you! @Kazrene: For the moment, there's nothing stopping you from overwriting the redirect with your own version of an article. I simply cannot revert my revert of a page blank, as it would seem inappropriate to do so. For this reason, I am unopposed to you restoring the article on the grounds that a merge is not possible for the reason of The topics are discrete subjects warranting their own articles, even though they might be short.
