Arranged marriage edit

In the 1930s Polish movie, the fathers of Hannan and Leah arrange a marriage between the children before the children are born. I was wondering why this wasn't mentioned in the plot summary. Dinopup 15:20, 8 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

  • You should add it. It is in the original play. -- Jmabel | Talk 03:41, August 9, 2005 (UTC)
    • Correcting myself: this is alluded to as backstory in the original play, but not dramatized. That whole first act of the film is Michał Waszyński's invention. - Jmabel | Talk 18:25, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

San Francisco edit

What, if anything, is notable about the performances in the San Francisco area that are given a paragraph? This is a much-performed play. - Jmabel | Talk 01:51, 30 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Having received no response after nearly a week, I will remove. - Jmabel | Talk 03:58, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lodovico Rocca edit

Yiddish Art Theater edit

This article suggests that the play was put on at the Yiddish Art Theater in 1921 or so, but according to the NY Times, that theatre wasn't created until 1926 (http://movies.nytimes.com/person/110482/Maurice-Schwartz). --Brian Z (talk) 16:51, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
