Spoiler in the third sentence

Is it really necessary to have a huge spoiler as early as in the the third sentence? "...and become victims of a ritual carried out to placate supernatural beings." — Preceding unsigned comment added by E1M7 (talkcontribs) 13:28, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

I do not know if we should remove it, but I think we should read WP:SPOILER, as Wikipedia is expected to include spoilers. Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 15:37, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
Hmm... while Wikipedia is expected to contain spoilers, it isn't strictly necessary that we have it right at the start of the article. The trick is finding a wording that isn't "it's about something, but I can't tell you; you need to watch it." I'll give a thought over something that could be done. This spoiler is absolutely unnecessary in the first paragraph. Check the wiki page for The Sixth Sense as a comparison. It does NOT say, "The movie is about a boy who talks to a dead psychologist." The "Plot" section's specific purpose is to describe the plot in detail, including spoilers. And it does. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.75.131.131 (talk) 06:24, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
"Titanic is a 1997 American epic romance disaster film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. A fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic..." The ship sinks. OMG. Who knew an encyclopedia article about a film would tell you what happens in the film? - SummerPhDv2.0 19:42, 9 July 2016 (UTC)

Should this movie even be called a horror movie?

The move is more of a deconstruction of the horror movie genre than a horror movie itself, though I'm not quite sure what the proper term for it would be. Titanium Dragon (talk) 19:15, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

I like to think of the movie as a re-telling of the Noah's Ark story. Rybu (talk) 07:24, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

2011 film?

The film premiered at Butt-Numb-A-Thon in late 2011 [1] [2].

It is even listed on this: List of films shown at Butt-Numb-A-Thon#Butt-Numb-A-Thon: ThirTEEN WOLF, aka BNAT13WOLF (2011).

Now this wasn't the official premiere, so might not count but I thought it worth flagging up. (Emperor (talk) 01:39, 22 June 2013 (UTC))
