Intercity buses edit

Re Terminus Saint-Eustache (AMT)#Intercity buses. The Greyhound Canada website is of no help at all. I may have to scan the Montreal, Lachute, Quebec, Hawkesbury, Ontario Gatineau, Ottawa schedule and upload it to Wikipedia. Peter Horn User talk 02:17, 14 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

That would be blatant Wikipedia:Original research and Greyhound does not use the Terminus anyway. Just use a link to their station information at the Greyhound website to reference that bus service exists. Secondarywaltz (talk) 16:27, 14 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
See Montreal - Ottawa via Lachute and Hawkesbury was the best I could find, however when I now try to open it it tells me to go back a step or so. The hard copy that I obtained at the Ottawa bus station this past Friday is much more specific. Peter Horn User talk 21:08, 14 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
So far this got me nowhere. That said, the hard copy schedule shows very clearly that Greyhound does not use the terminus, but does stop close by. I have frequented both the harvey's and the McDonald's as a pit stop when transferring from the #8 and the #80 of the CIT Laurentides on my way to the Oka National Park. Here we go again. Type in Montreal e QC and Gatineau e QC and then click on Schedules. (Time "any time", make sure that you put in one day ahead). then click on the SECOND 07:00AM or on 06:30 PM. Scanning the bus station handout, which can be obtained by anyone at any service point and posting it is infinitely simpler. Peter Horn User talk 22:14, 14 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Make that SEARCH SCHEDULES. Greyhound does not make it simple. Peter Horn User talk 22:18, 14 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
I scanned the handout, hard copy, schedule on to my desktop as Ottawa Lachute Montreal. My email address is peter.j.c.horn@gmail.com . If you care to see it email me and I'll send it as an attachment to my reply. Peter Horn User talk 23:30, 14 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
I would consider the hard copy hand out a published document even though it is only readily available in Ottawa, Montreal and at agents in between. Peter Horn User talk 15:56, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Looks good Peter. If what you call a "hand out" is a published timetable it may have a number or official title that you can use. What I obviously meant about original research is if you had abstracted everything from online sources. I have cited similar Greyhound tables at Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal, but I don't know if those ones are still valid. Secondarywaltz (talk) 16:12, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
It has no particular number but we can try Ottawa Central station which is given on that timetable. Peter Horn User talk 21:46, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Next step: [1] and select St Eustache as a destination. That gives [2]. Eureka! Peter Horn User talk 21:59, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
. . . and that is Table 2716. Does it match your printed version? Secondarywaltz (talk) 22:32, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
It does, except that it does not indicate the Ottawa Station's website. And [3] as well as [4] show how close the restaurants are to the Terminus Saint-Eustache. Peter Horn User talk 22:58, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

New schedule edit

A new route, 80/81 starts Sunday, 2012-08-12 News. The number 80 will continue to run counter clockwise through Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Quebec and Pointe-Calumet, Quebec, the 81 will take the same route clockwise. Maps edit

@Secondarywaltz: For goodness sake, route maps have always been part of the equation,so lets leave that column in place and find the route maps.

Peter Horn User talk 18:22, 7 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Peter Horn: No! Let's remove similar mutiple external links from all of these articles. People should use the linked AMT website to plan their trip. Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a travel guide or a collection of external links. It is sufficient to reference that the bus services exist. This is wrong! Your idea has merit. Peter Horn User talk 20:07, 7 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
