Latest comment: 7 months ago by CatTheMeow in topic Disruptive edits

Between 1100 CE - 1400 CE, The Kannada script and Telugu script separated from Old-Kannada script (Halegannada script).

Satavahana or Bhattiprolu script was not used to write Telugu language edit

Moving this page from 'Telugu-Kannada alphabet' to 'Kannada-Telugu alphabet' to bring it into a correct form, Satavahanas didn't used Telugu language in their administration and also didn't used their variety of Brahmi script to write Telugu language, the Old Kannada script was followed by the Kannada rulers of Chalukyas of Vemulavada and Vengi in modern Telugu states in which the rulers who recognized Telugu language used to issue inscriptions in Kannada, Telugu and Sanskrit in which the script used by them was the Old Kannada or Kannada script which brings the form that that involvement of Telugu language in an inscription which is written in Kannada script to bring the form as Kannada-Telugu script or alphabet

"Similarly in the literary sphere, these Chalukya rulers were responsible for ushering in the Kannada and Telugu literatures. It was their patronage that enriched not only Kannada and Telugu literatures but also of Sanskrit with valuable treatises and Kavyas. In fact, though these families held a minor status in the political life of Andhra, they held a glorious position as patrons of literature and enriched it on a massive scale"

Stop disruptive edits edit

@Glennznl please take action against User @Reo kwon, this user is included in disruptive edits even after many revisions summerized to him, the user is just 'emotionally attachted to his language' and involved in Wiki vandalism continuosly

Kannada had the dominant class over Telugu during the period of Chalukyas of Vengi and Vemulavada, the rulers and scholars of these dynasties used the same script (Old Kannada script) to write Kannada, Telugu, Sanskrit and other languages, these dynasties descend from Early Chalukyas of Karnataka i.e. Kannada country and influenced Kannada as far of Eastern and Western Deccan, most of the noted Kannada poets were from their court, Kannada-Telugu script was developed during their period 2406:7400:63:EE40:DCB1:2A81:9A1B:9C92 (talk) 10:56, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I looked into it, and multiple users seem to be involved in the same edit war. The term "Telugu-Kannada" has 2530 results on Google Scholar while "Kannada-Telugu" has 1800. On Wikipedia we picked Telugu-Kannada and this should be the end of the discussion. Arguing about the order of the name is a waste of time. I will try to get extra protection for the page to calm the edit war down. --Glennznl (talk) 21:46, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
