Declined Ref notes need to be placed in the proposed text at the exact location where the information which they reference resides. With this request, URL links were placed at the end of the request. These links do not indicate which portions of the text they are referencing. (See WP:INTEGRITY.) My apologies - I'm very much still learning the process here. Could you advise me on the correct next steps? Is it appropriate to submit a new edit request but with the references placed correctly? Thanks. D. M. Miles (talk) 00:08, 1 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Former grad student of Craig here. I updated the info about Craig's passing and added in Miles being named PI. Here to help where I can. Aryahmmr (talk) 04:07, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Launch vehicle selection edit

  • Specific text to be added: Tandem Reconnection and Cusp Electrodynamics Reconnaissance Satellites (TRACERS) is a future mission by NASA that aims to answer long-standing questions critical to understanding the Sun-Earth System. TRACERS is a pair of identically instrumented spinning spacecraft that will study how the Sun's solar wind interacts with the Earth's magnetosphere. TRACERS was initially planned to be launched as a secondary mission to another orbiter named Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere (PUNCH). PUNCH will study the solar wind, a stream of charged particles emanating from the Sun, while TRACERS will study Earth's response.[1]. On 29 September 2023 NASA Launch Services Program selected SpaceX its Falcon 9 rocket to provide the launch service for TRACERS launch through the Venture-Class Acquisition of Dedicated and Rideshare (VADR) program.

Declined Portions of the proposed text appear to be unreferenced (e.g., the claim "On 29 September 2023 NASA Launch Services Program selected SpaceX its Falcon 9 rocket to provide the launch service for TRACERS launch through the Venture-Class Acquisition of Dedicated and Rideshare (VADR) program.". There does not appear to be a ref note at the end of this statement, which suggests that the statement is unreferenced. Regards,  Spintendo  22:12, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
If we read the reference, it does seem to support that claim, so we could just move the ref to the end, or name it and use it a 2nd time (or use the Jeff Foust ref, or add a citation-needed). I'm happy to do it if no one else wants to. - Rod57 (talk) 12:33, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. We can alternatively place the second source cited after that line: [2]. Pabsoluterince (talk) 13:06, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Primary payload on rideshare edit

"according to NASA spokesperson Leejay Lockhart, TRACERS will be the primary payload of a rideshare mission going to sun-synchronous orbit no earlier than April 2025." says [1]. - Rod57 (talk) 19:31, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
