Poster? edit

Shouldn't there be a poster already for this event? Danny Boy 420 (talk) 18:58, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's more than 2 months away, we usually don't get a poster this early. WWE might release one by the end of the month. TJ Spyke 19:05, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Poster edit

I added a poster, and I am not sure if it is real. But it looks pretty hard to do with PhotoShop or something else. Pavlen (talk) 10:41, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

All images have to have a source, I have removed it from the article due to no source of the image. TJ Spyke 12:51, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Lets keep this as accurate as it can get edit

We're reporting wrong info to websites. Lets try to avoid speculation and rumors.--Truco 503 21:35, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

  At least we have semi-protection now. --  Oakster   23:03, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Jeez, I'm doubly glad I requested protection after seeing that. With any luck, we should be able to keep a better eye on the article now, without having to wade through a bunch of speculation, rumours, etc everytime. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 09:23, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
But I read an article that says the match is going to happen! Please put it! (sarcasm, please catch it)--Lord Dagon (talk) 07:45, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Poster Part 3 edit

Are we really gonna use this poster? It looks more like a flyer... \:.:bibboorton:.:/ (talk) 17:19, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's the official poster, so yes we are gonna use it. TJ Spyke 17:31, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tag Team Championship Background edit

I really hope I don't sound lame for asking this, but it should make some sense. On the background for the Tag Team Championship match, it includes the whole Shaq incident from Raw, and the match the two competing teams had that night as well. The thing I am wondering is, well, why? I thought the background section typically only mentioned how the match came to be, as in, Cryme Tyme simply beating The Hart Dynasty to earn it. Does this make sense?--Lord Dagon (talk) 16:25, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I can't speak for whoever added it, but I guess because that marked the beginning of the feud between Cryme Tyme and Jericho/Big Show. TJ Spyke 16:36, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
I guess it makes some sense, I just didn't believe the feud had any notability to it, but only time will tell.--Lord Dagon (talk) 17:19, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

World Heavyweight Championship Match edit

I live in kansas city. I was watching Smackdown on 7/31, and they said that Jeff Hardy will battle CM Punk in a Steel Cage Match For the World Heavyweight Championship when it comes to Kansas City on August 18th. Can anyone find a source or confirm this, and how will this affect summerslam?--JereMerr 00:14, 4 August 2009 (UTC)--JereMerr 00:16, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

That is to sell tickets, usually it ends up being a dark match after the TV taping ends. They do this with EVERY show (even for house shows), it means nothing for SummerSlam. TJ Spyke 00:22, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

But The Promo said That it would be the Main event.--JereMerr 00:26, 4 August 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeremerr (talkcontribs)

They usually say that, it's meant to help sell tickets to the event. Even if it's part of the TV broadcast, it doesn't mean anything regarding SummerSlam. TJ Spyke 00:29, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

The hardy and punk match isn't official yet, if Hardy comes back by summerslam than they have a TLC match. The same goes with Dx vs The Legacy. -- 03:35, 15 August 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cooly123 (talkcontribs)

Jeremerr- It's a DARK Match, if it was for Summerslam, it would be at a SD taping, not a House Show because people would get confused.--96.30.138.44 (talk) 12:39, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

JR Surprises edit

Should it be mention that JR has a surprise for the fan at summerslam [[User:Supermike|Supermike] (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:19, 8 August 2009 (UTC).Reply

This is the first i've heard of any surprise. No, not at all notable that he has a surprise in plan. TJ Spyke 21:25, 8 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

ECW Title match at Summerslam edit

I just watched ECW on Tuesday, and they confirmed the Title match for Summerslam.

Christian vs. William Regal

Go to either www.f4wonline.com or www.wrestlezone.com for the results to the entire show.

Also the WWE website will include the results to the show.

I'm bringing this up here because i can't add it in due to a lock. But it is happening so there's no point not to add it in. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nateinclio (talkcontribs) 05:56, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

The ref added never stated the match was at SummerSlam.--WillC 10:09, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Nate, they NEVER said it would be at SummerSlam (on TV or at wwe.com). All they said was that Regal was the #1 contender, they never said WHEN he would get the title shot. It's possible they could decide to do it at SummerSlam, but as of right not it is not a SummerSlam match. TJ Spyke 15:31, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Look at WWE.com!! "Breaking news from WWE.com: It's been confirmed that ECW Champion Christian will defend his title against The British Brawler, William Regal this Sunday at Summerslam. Who will walk away with the Land of the Extreme's highest honor?" That good enough for you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.20.174.138 (talkcontribs)

So? It just became official now. That doesn't change the fact that they did not announce it lasy week. TJ Spyke 00:33, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

TJ Spyke is sarcastic, isn't he? \:.:bibboorton:.:/ (talk) 09:14, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

No, he's serious. Matches are only added once they have been officially announced by a reliable source. Arguing "it's probably going to happen" is purely speculation, which is not allowed.--Lord Dagon (talk) 22:19, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah yeah.. I know he's right. In fact, I completely agree with him and think he is a good editor, but he's just sarcastic...\:.:bibboorton:.:/ (talk) 11:03, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pictures edit

Eight is too many, I welcome some discussion as to which are appropriate. Use other FA articles as examples. Darrenhusted (talk) 01:41, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree. A few pictures (like 2 or 3, MAYE 4 or 5 after the article gets fully expanded) is good, but 8 is too many. We really don't need a picture for every match on the card. TJ Spyke 02:12, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

ECW Match Time edit

WWE lists the time as eight seconds Smackdownraw (talk) 03:20, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Not to be rude, but so? As soon as a source for all the times is available, times will be added. WWE isn't always right about times (they still try to say the SD Jones match WrestleMania I was 9 seconds despite the fact that the match was actually about 30 seconds in length). TJ Spyke 04:43, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

WWE IS always right about times because it was or is THEIR SHOW therefor if they say a match was 9 secs then it was 9 sec regardless of what it may have really been. On the wwe record books its nine secs. So if Regal was beaten in 8 sec then he was beaten in 8 sec. Which is notable. All short title matches are notable since they usually dont happen often. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.7.201.91 (talk) 14:01, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

WWE is NOT always right. We list facts, BS. TJ Spyke 14:08, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

WWE IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!!!! Its their show so its their call. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.7.201.91 (talk) 20:33, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm not gonna argue with a delusional person. 20:44, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Im not delusional im a factual person and facts are decided by the organization that controls what happens. Its no different than watching a movie where an event takes place thats impossible but its not the audiences right nor job to determine if its possible or not. Its the director. Same thing for WWE except they're the director. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.7.201.91 (talk) 02:39, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

So if WWE suddenyl says Shawn Michaels is 30 feet tall, you think we should believe that? Try actually WATCHING the Jones match from WrestleMania. It's not 9 seconds or even close to that. We go by facts. This discussion is over since the talkpage is about discussing improvements to the article, not why you think that any BS info WWE gives us should be reported as fact. TJ Spyke 02:50, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
No TJ but I believe there is a possible exception to that whole mess of a deal you came up with. This is professional wrestling and the point you made was clear but here's the thing. Do you know how the promotion records match times? Sure you can argue that from the time the first bell rang to the time the last bell rang it was 10 seconds, but where's the source for that? Maybe the promotion strictly records match times by what the timekeeper got, and maybe the timekeeper is sometimes off by a few seconds, which as a result causes promotion to have iffy match times. Or maybe the promotion simply makes up the numbers... The point is no one knows. --UnquestionableTruth-- 02:31, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

TLC Match edit

Should be noted that Undertaker was involved towards the end, and that he is back in the WWE since winning vs HBW at mania 25. -- 18:18, 24 August 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cooly123 (talkcontribs)
