Hi, everyone! I am working on this page over the next couple of days. I thought it would be helpful to add more information on this concept outside of the context of Ecuador. Any and all feedback is welcome!

@Oak313: Thanks for your work on this article. Are you aware there's also an older article with the cumbersome title The Rights of Nature in Ecuador - Sumak Kawsay? Does it cover the same ground as this article, and if so should they be merged? – Arms & Hearts (talk) 19:35, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Arms & Hearts: Hi, thank you for your comments. I am aware of the existing article, I hoped that this one would expand information on sumak kawsay because the concept/paradigm exists outside of Ecuador and its constitution. If you think there's a better way that I can achieve this, please let me know! Oak313 (talk)
@Oak313: Thanks for clarifying. I see now that the articles are different in scope. My sense is that the Rights of nature in Ecuador article (which I've moved to better conform to the Article titles policy) could be merged to this one as a subtopic – in part just because having that article, this article and the section in Socialism of the 21st century feels muddled – but on the other hand both articles are fairly detailed and well-referenced, and it would be a shame to lose anything. Perhaps someone will come across this discussion in the future and feel differently. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 11:23, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
