Genre dispute

If genre cannot be decided, a consensus must take place as per WP:Consensus. TBA is not a suitable genre. I will add the genre as depicted on the main article. genre

The album is generally alternative metal with the metalcore influence still held in place, they have followed in the ideas of the Eyeless Slipknot cover they done, Slipknot are alternative, and it includes experimentation - exactly what Oli Sykes himself has stated. Alternative contains experimentation, but is not experimental in complete.

and if Oli himself isn't a good source, then hopefully someone with a brain and ideas on music will write a review stating that on a reliable source.

Screamo does describe a specific music genre similar to Post-Hardcore. Just because a song contains screaming, it doesn't mean the band is screamo. Billie Joe Armstrong screams in one of Green Day's songs, for God's sake. Screamo? No way.

Man, you say "This album is no way screamo!". YOUR opinion does NOT matter here. Original research is against the rules and point of view is too. If reviewers say that, then they are considered more reliable than you - which they are, no matter how great you think your knowledge is, |reliable sources are the only way to prove your point. keep it simple stupid

if i could put a genre on this album it would be hardcore punk. it sounds like a slightly heavier version of comeback kid or gallows. 99% of the death influence is dropped though. getting into semantics over genres and electronic/experimental influences is fucking stupid. label it as hardcore or metalcore on the main article and leave it at that. no need to uneccessarily complicate things, this isn't post or avante garde metal. and "indiecore"...what the fuck?

i think metalcore should be kept simple and maybe post-hardcore?

4. "Death Breath" - metalcore, deathcore
5. "Football Season Is Over" - hardcore punk

7. "Diamonds Aren't Forever" - metalcore, alternative
8. "The Sadness Will Never End" - post-hardcore, metalcore
9. "No Need for Introductions.." - deathcore
10. "Suicide Season" - progressive metalcore, post-hardcore

all songs contain various genres, so best to either keep it at just Metalcore. or add post-hardcore/alternative metal. in my opinion this album has a lot of influences from various genres (see above), but adding loads will cause confusion, unless we can find citations... internet fueds

I think it would be worthy to mention something about all the fueds on forum sites across the internet about the band. With Suicide Season BMTH's fanbase has changed dramatically. Now lots of the hardcore fans and metalheads that were BMTH fans because of Count your Blessings dont like the band because of Sucide Season. They gave the album two stars, and I have the review in front of me. Technically, this article does not quite meet the "start" criteria, as band infoboxes have been judged insufficient for "reference to at least primary personnel by name." However, there are enough other features here to justify a "start" rating by an act of WP:IAR. In order to rise above start, the article will need song author credit for the track listing and a personnel section as set out at WP:ALBUM. This personnel section must include all musicians--band members and guests--to meet C criteria, and all technical personnel to meet B crtieria. To meet B criteria, additional attention needs to be given to structure in the article. As tagged, the lead is too long and does not serve as a summary of the article. Material should be divided out as appropriate. I have some questions about sourcing, as well. This looks to be a blog post, since it says it was "posted by Dan." Deathcore

Deathcore was added a couple days ago but then removed by an anonymous today. The musical style section of this article starts of with, "Suicide Season departs from Bring Me the Horizon's previous deathcore sound. The band was subsequently credited for adopting a more eclectic style. and moving into a more "straight-up" metalcore sound." So having deathcore in the infobox would be a contradiction. Plus, the source that was added for deathcore didn't provide strong support for the genre. Pinging @Issan Sumisu: for discussion since you added deathcore. If there's other sources to contradict it then it's fine to not have it added, but "more deathcore era sound, featuring songs from their first two albums (‘Count Your Blessings’ and ‘Suicide Season’)" is definitely direct about saying the album is based in metalcore.
