About homages

I've noticed several mentions of homages in the trivia and, well, is it just me or is the scene in episode 13 when Windu cuts his way into the stomper ship a direct reference to the tenth episode of Firefly (War Stories), when Zoe and the gang burst open the airlock of Niska's skyplex, down to the laconic way in which the sentry pushes the alarm button, the spot-on sound of the siren, and a group of guards rushing in only to be blown off? Page Move

Why has this article been renamed? IMHO there was nothing wrong with the original title.Lee M 01:00, 25 Sep 2004 (UTC)

So it's consistent with the titles of Droids and Ewoks. If you don't like it, you're free to change it back.—67.171.180.209
I feel that naming the article Star Wars: Clone Wars would be appropriate, as that is the name of the series. However, it is apparent that this article wasn't moved properly from Star Wars: Clone Wars. 67.171.180.209 created a new page at Clone Wars (cartoon) and then pasted the contents of Star Wars: Clone Wars into the new page. Thus the edit history was not moved over too. Now I can't move it back, since Star Wars: Clone Wars has an edit history.—MementoVivere 29 June 2005 07:15 (UTC)

Voice Talent

Who voices Mace Windu in this cartoon? It really sounded a lot like Samuel Jackson but I doubt it is him.

Matt Lucas

Umm, the link to the voice of Anakin is wrong. The voice of Anakin is done by Mat Lucas (one T), Matt Lucas (two T's) is a British comedia. So it will need to be changed.

100% correct. There's no wikipedia page for the real actor, so text corrected, link removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.208.150.121 (talk) 18:45, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Separate Articles?

At this point, I've made this page representative for both the 2-D and future 3-D versions of Clone Wars, rather than make separate pages. This, however, seems to have cluttered up the page. So, I've considered dividing the page into separate articles. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Adamwankenobi 02:32, 21 August 2005 (UTC)

I really think they should be on separate pages. They are technically 2 different shows.--Hotdoglives 14:17, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

Minutes

Why are the average times per each episode in the form of 0:03 minutes (which looks to me like seconds) rather than just 3 minutes? Does anyone have an objection to me changing it? -Mysekurity 22:29, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

Because that's the standard way of writing time for TV shows on Wikipedia. Besides, if that represented seconds, it would be in the form hh:mm:ss or, with numbers, 00:00:03. As it is, it correctly represents minutes, since it is hh:mm or 00:03. The Wookieepedian 22:21, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
Thanks. Can we erase the "minutes" part of it then? I don't mind the format so much as I mind the fact that it says 00:03 minutes, which, to me, looks like seconds. If I'm in the wrong, I'll shut my trap. (Thanks for keeping such a close eye on this article, by the way). -Mysekurity 23:33, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
OK, I'll remove the "minutes" designation. I see what you mean. In its current form, it looks as if it is designating how much of a minute or something, rather than the minutes themselves. 07:25, 5 December 2005 (UTC)The Wookieepedian

'Main events' section needs cleanup

As of the most recent revision, this section consists of a list of characters with a bullet-point list of events each character is involved in, and is not up to encyclopedic standards. !mAtt 23:31, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

The Battle of Nelvaan merge

I don't think that that article should be merged here, as this article is designed to discuss the series only, not the specific battles it depicts. Besides, the content of that page seems large enough to allow it to stay as it is; there's really no place for it here. The Wookieepedian 17:42, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Requested move

Star Wars: Clone Wars → Star Wars: Clone Wars (TV series) – {The current title is too similar to Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Clone Wars. It confuses editors and readers alike. — Jedi6-(need help?) 03:18, 18 March 2006 (UTC) } copied from the entry on the WP:RM page

Discussion

Add any additional comments
  • I'd prefer the title to remain consistent with other Star Wars titles. Might I suggest the modification Star Wars: Clone Wars (TV series) ? So basically, just add "TV series" to the title to clarify what's being talked about. -- wacko2 06:20, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Clone Wars cartoon battle articles

As you would expect coming from me, these battle articles don't deserve their own article when they are merely plot summaries of parts of episodes. WP:FICT clearly recommends that all plot summary remain on the appropriate parent article page; not sub articles. Episode articles may be appropriate, since there are only 25 episodes. The other option is to compress the battle information into a 10-20 paragraph plot synopsis on this page. — Deckiller 20:09, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Proposed merge: Battle of Ilum into Star Wars: Clone Wars

Battle of Ilum is not much bigger than a stub, is there any dissenting voices against integrating that into this article? A Train take the 14:42, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, there's already an article on it in the Wookieepedia, why not just list the major battles depicted in the series? May the Edit be with you. T-borg (drop me a line) 15:41, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

this is not not true. "General Grievous is depicted as he is possibly intended to be, a merciless Jedi-killer of the utmost efficiency, easily taking on many Jedi Knights and Masters and defeating them all. In the movie, he is often hunched over and running away in a cowardly fashion, laughing wickedly in a cliché manner, accompanied by a string of coughs, depicting him as physically ill, and he is easily kept at bay by a Jedi Master and a Knight (admittedly, two of the best Jedi in the galaxy), and obviously not taken seriously by Obi-Wan in the duel at Utapau (he smiles mockingly and shows no fear or apprehension or even surprise at Grievous's use of four lightsabers at once, compared with Obi-Wan's single lightsaber"

he moves like this because Mace force crushed his chest. that is why he is wheezing & hunched over—

2008 for Clone Wars 3D?

I heard that in the latest issue of Star Wars Insider, they give a date of 2008 for the 3D Clone Wars series. If anyone has this magazine, can you confirm the date, and update the article? --Hotdoglives 02:53, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

There are only two seasons

Look here. There are only two seasons in Star Wars: Clone Wars. Here's evidence; if you own the Star Wars Clone Wars Volume One DVD, please watch the Bridging the Saga documentary. Genndy himself calls your so-called third season 'the second lot' of episodes. So does George Lucas! Now, please keep my edit of the Seasons permanent and smell the morning coffee already! Name change

While I agree with moving this article from Star Wars: Clone Wars, I think the title needs to be Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003 TV series) to differentiate it from Star Wars: The Clone Wars (TV series), which should be moved to Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 TV series). Less developed story?

"Since much emphasis is placed on action, the story and plot is less developed than in the films." Source? 80.98.146.68 (talk) 20:36, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

  • Isn't it's obvious? I mean, we have the Battle of Muunilist featuring the ARC Troopers, but then they go to Hypory to rescue Kid Adi Mundi and co. The issue here being that (as some fans noticed) that the ARCs would've never made it in time to Hypori because it's on the other end of the Galaxy, and I add my own point here - they got themselves a custom LAAT...they say there are plenty of continuity holes--92.114.148.141 (talk) 21:13, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

Frailing?

The "Backstory" section currently refers to "the frailing Galactic Republic". This would appear to be a typo, but since I haven't seen this series, I don't know whether it's meant to say "the failing Galactic Republic" or "the frail Galactic Republic". Could someone who has seen the series make whichever correction is appropriate? Thanks. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 03:53, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Written by George Lucas?

Why in the episode list, all episodes are marked as "written by George Lucas"? That is absolutely incorrect. They're just "from characters created by George Lucas". Kumagoro-42 23:52, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
