I propose that The Indian Bean Tree, St James Square, Monmouth be merged into St James Square, Monmouth. I believe that the tree, by itself, is not sufficiently notable to justify a stand-alone article, and the content of that article would be better placed within the context of this article on the square as a whole. It's a possibility. However, in the course of researching this article I found additional material on the tree and had planned on expanding the Indian Bean Tree article. Also, please note that the Indian Bean Tree was initially proposed as an article by the MonmouthpediA project. Anne (talk) 17:30, 21 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

As a PS, I came across this new book yesterday - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Heritage-Trees-Wales-Archie-Miles/dp/1905582498 - which has a significant section on the tree - pages 94-96.
