Carbon fiber vs Carbon fibre edit

In English 'fiber' is spelt 'fibre'
In US English 'fibre' is spelt fiber'
The original patent was British therefore the patent would refer to 'fibre' in UK, when the UK patent was registered in the USA it was probably registered as 'fiber'
The Carbon fibre article re-directs to Carbon fiber
Carbon fiber article recognises both spellings.
Hence both spellings are correct, what looks strange to one reader will be natural to another.
I would politely suggest that time spent re-editing/undoing from one to the may possibly be a teeny weeny bit fruitless.
