Article needs to be improved

edit

There is substantial resources about Soumaoro (a.k.a: Sumanguru, etc.). The article can be much longer than this. Also seperate the legend from the reported facts. The legend is very important and should be rightfully given its place but also report on how the scholars evaluate that (for lack of a better phrase). In other words, how the oral tradition stands up to the written sources. See the newly improved Sundiata Keita article for guidance. Soumaoro was a real person who played a pivotal role in shaping 13th century West African history. He is very notable. You don't want people to read this article and think they are reading a fiction/novel. Also if one is going to create an article about the Kouyate/Kouyaté family, then the article should be called "Kouyate family" not "Kouyate" (it will probably end up in a disambiguiation page). The Kouyate family themselves are notable with a long history. For guidance see the Joof family.
