editI maintain that Assur was the capital of Assyria. Or, more to the point, "before or after 614 BC?". 83.79.180.249 18:56, 23 October 2005 (UTC)
Lyrics incorrect?
editI'm not sure if the lyrics in the article are right. According to http://www.stmoroky.com/sirrobin/song.htm, the lyrics of the second part are different, and you can even hear it in the sound clips on that page. Are there different versions of the movie, or was someone just typing the lyrics from memory? Rory O'Kane 13:58, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
I edited the lyrics to remove the bit about being able to hear the minstrel say split when Robin interrupts him, because I listened to that part 10 times in a row, and it just isn't true. Anonymous 22 May 2006
Actually, "penis split" is correct. I actually found the script in the San Diego Public Library when in high school...and I rememebr this quite well. As did the rest of my high school band....it ade the rounds of the group for the entire month I had it checked out!
song composer
editWho composed the melody and/or lyrics of the song?--Sonjaaa 19:56, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Some parts of the song melody closely follows the american civil war song "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3k8H_9SjoM) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.71.145.241 (talk) 09:35, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
Song tune from a game?
editWas browsing the High-Voltage Sid Collection and found one that's tune matched the Brave Sir Robin song. GAMES/A-F/Bards_Tale_III.sid Bard's Tale III- Thief of Fate Subsong 1. I was wondering if anyone knows if they're actually related? (Edit: whoops, that was me, forgot I wasn't logged in) Wa 06:04, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
Not formal enough
editThis article has a lot of lines such as "During a famine the minstrels are eaten by the knights, much to everyone's relief." which are paraphrased quotes and the like. It does not have the tone of an encyclopedia entry.
