Please do not revert the word "tits" in the translation of the title to "breasts." The word "tetas" is a vulgarism in Colombian Spanish that means "tits" in English. [1] As one source indicates, it was deliberately chosen by the producer in Colombia instead of the word for "breasts" ("senos"):

The producer chose well in keeping the word "tetas" (tits) in the name of the soap opera; traditionally considered a vulgar term for breasts, through use it has become accepted by all audiences.[2]

Further, the English-language edition of El Colombiano, the daily newspaper in Medellin, Colombia, translates the title as "Without tits there is no paradise."[3] This should end all discussion of the matter.

NBC has chosen to sanitize the translation of the title by using the word "breasts" in the title of its own adaptation. Consequently, public relations articles promoting the series are being erroneously used as sources for translating "tetas" as "breasts." Sources that do not rely on NBC public relations releases plainly indicate the correct translation of "tetas" in the title is "tits."[4][5] [6] Because NBC's translation sanitizes the actual meaning of the term -- presumably to meet imposed broadcast standards -- reverting the translation from "tits" to "breasts" arguably runs afoul of WP:NPOV. I note that rather than follow the guidelines and discuss the above here on the Talk page, one user has simply seen fit to revert the word "tits" to "breasts," followed shortly by the same user who had performed the initial reversion supplying an article in Variety as ostensible support for the use of "breasts" as the correct translation.

As indicated above, however, the article's translation is erroneous, likely relying simply on NBC's sanitized translation for the English-language version. The word "tetas" in Colombian Spanish unequivocally means "tits" and the sources cited above plainly indicate that is what both Colombians understand it to mean and, more importantly, what the producer intended. If you do not like it, take it up with Telemundo and have them change the title to "Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso."

Same series with a different name, or a remake?

This article says "Sin Senos no hay Paraíso" is a remake of "Sin Tetas no hay Paraíso" (which has its own article) -- but nothing in the articles indicates what the differences are, if any. Is it really a remake, or just a re-release with a softened name? Also, is this the right way to indicate the titles? I thought titles of movies, books and TV shows were not capitalized all the way through in Spanish. Shouldn't it be "Sin senos no hay paraíso"? 72.229.42.246 (talk) 00:39, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
