Voiced and unvoiced pairs edit
How do these devices determine whether a person who moves their vocal apparatus into position for a particular sound wants that sound to be interpreted as voiced or unvoiced? How do they distinguish between e.g. /t/ and /d/ if everything is being mouthed silently? Credulity (talk) 11:43, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
