Clean-up edit

I reworked this article and removed the cleanup tag. I also removed the stub tag due to 71.34.118.94's additions to the Story section. This article could use a picture. --Pagrashtak 15:19, 13 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

I added in a personality section and bit of organizing as well. -ZeroTalk 17:50, 9 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hmm... edit

In Mega Man Zero 2, I remember that there was a file that claimed that X finished Sigma once and for all with the Mother Elf. But in X8 Lumine killed Sigma himself, and then Capcom said that Sigma was gone for good. So...am I the only one who belives that Sigma will be back somehow?

Well amist all the retconning and whatnot with the introduction of X6 and the Zero series, things become inverted. Sigma is gone for good. -ZeroTalk 11:10, 22 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
I don't really think it's sensible to use mass retconnings as a reason and then claim he's gone for good. By that logic it's very possible for Capcom to bring back Sigma. -XshuTalk 10:14, 04 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • It isn't. This was a statement from Capcom. I need to locate the article. -ZeroTalk 11:07, 5 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ah, I see. I'll actually miss him when X9 comes out(If it does). Thanks.

Trivia edit

I allowed myself to remove the Trivia section because the information stated in there are NOT true. The section stated that Sigma made a cameo appearence in Mega Man Zero 2 as part of the grab attack of Phoenix Magnion. This is a common mistake in the Mega Man Community. The "ghost" displayed in the game is the X-Hunter Agile from Mega Man X2, together with Vile, Bit and Colonel. He is NOT Sigma.

I added it back, except this time with a true peice of trivia. TODO: register and add this- http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/4624/megamanx20000wd0.png. Or, if someone could do it for me, I would greatly appriciate it.--4.225.24.5 15:15, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

EDIT: Hehe, I forgot My signature.

TELOS records edit

There's a line in the History section that doesn't make sense to me. "Little remains except only annoyances still wandering cyberspace in the time of Mega Man Zero (Heard in TELOS records.)" What are the TELOS records? There is no information on them. This should be fixed somehow. -Mavrickindigo

TELOS records refer to the Remastered_Tracks_Rockman_Zero_3 which contains drama tracks in Japanese. The characters from the game talk about and reveal things about the storyline not inside the games itself. I can't verify myself even though I have the CD's I don't know japanese. 80.126.32.62 19:19, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

They should really change the article to mention that.-Mavrickindigo

Some notes edit

Sigma's final defeat in RMX8 isn't solely due to being on the moon. The moon only plays a factor in that the main source of the Virus is on earth and thus, as X5 said, he lacks ability to regenerate. Furthermore, it was seemingly Lumine that tricked Sigma into going all out with a viral based form. Sigma became too arrogant and never expected to lose. The Virus that made up his body died with his defeat.

As for Lumine's admittance to the hunters: it wasn't that Sigma was dead, but rather: "Thanks to you, the plan is going smoothly." He exclaimed that his plan was to have the hunters blow Sigma up. He then intended to kill the hunters himself as they were no longer nessecary in the new world.

Afterward, to make sense of RMZ, and based on statements in CM concept art. (Marino is a thief because she wants to find a cure for Sigma Virus. She steals top secret technology and gives it to those in need.) The Virus lived on without Sigma's presence as the one in control. This part of the Virus remained all over the world, and inside Zero's systems, untill the end of the Maverick Wars when based on research of Zero, Project Elpis/Elpizo came about and the Sigma Antibody Program; Mother Elf was made. "Sigma Antibody Program" being the only reference inside of Telos when it comes to Sigma. X then used her to destroy all Maverick Programming inside Reploids and stop the spreading of the Virus by carriers.

"Not in chronological order?" edit

There's a note that states that these events are not in chronological order. To me, it looks like each game is listed in the correct Timeline order, nothing seems out of place. I haven't removed the note as I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something. Gavyn Sykes 19:52, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image edit

While in latter games, Sigma adopts alternative forms the remake of the first game has it in a more well known style as claimed by Yoshikawa when commenting about his drawings of X and Zero. I have access to the artbook that possesses https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/esmegaman/images/4/4f/MHXSigma.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20210421220128 this image similar to how remake of X1 uses the more modern artwork of X despite being art from the remake. Should the image be replaced? There is also the recent style from X Dive which redapted almost every character from the entire franchise but I'm not familiar with it.
