Not narrow gauge line

edit

Hi!

Don't know if this is the right place but here goes. This line was not the narrow gauge Bengal Provincial Railway but the broad gauge Tarkessur Railway. Opening date from "Administration Report on the Railways in India" 1884-85. The amalgamation is from "Statistical abstract relating to British India from 1910-11 to 1919-20 London: His Majesty's Stationary Office 1922" which is on a DSAL statistical site at the University of Chicago. Apologies for not having the nous to insert these refs. Perhaps some kindly dude can do it for me.

Renaming this page

edit
  • Renamed the page. Construction of the Tarakeswar-Bishnupur sector has progressed on both the Tarakeswar side and the Bishnupur side. The line has become operable at both ends. There is a gap in the middle. All the major bridges have been constructed. The Kharagpur-Bankura-Adra line page is not yet there. Therefore, I have made it Sheoraphuli-Bishnupur branch line. New stations can be added as and when they come up. - Chandan Guha (talk) 09:35, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
