Just a note that V. Nutton's book on Roman medicine mentions a possibly relevant article in J. Stannard (1965), "Pliny and Roman botany" Isis 56, 420-5, which I haven't seen. N p holmes (talk) 13:46, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
