Thesis : explanations needed

Could someone please explain better the following sentence in the "Thesis" section : "He wanted to demonstrate that images are part of the world's symbolism as much as written and spoken languages". Yoyojoplin, je me suis permis de supprimer ton ajout "Award" qui a déjà été initialement publié hier par Sailor18 et que j'ai déplacé dans la section "New technologies" juste après que le concept "3-6-9-12" soit mentionné. Je trouvais que c'était plus pertinent de le mettre à cet endroit plutôt que de créer un titre "Award" avec une seule récompense. Mais merci d'avoir précisé le lieu où il a reçu la récompense. Re-wording into correct English.

Dear fellow editors,

I came across this article for the first time today and, as I was reading it, I corrected 'advices' (which is always singular in English) and also fixed a few other minor issues.

I then realized that the article must have been partially updated by francophone editors (which is obviously fine!), because the wording and grammar of several sentences would not have been written that way by a native English speaker. For example, the text: "To be more clear, ..." is a literal translation of: "Pour être plus clair, ...", but a native Anglophone would have said: "To be precise, ..." instead.

So, I looked at this talk page and read a few of the sections above, which confirmed my initial conclusion.

Therefore, I am creating this new section to offer my services as an additional editor who would re-word the article into correct, British English. I haven't read the whole article, but there are several sentences that I would re-write and I don't want to start applying a lot of updates without at least one of the regular editors giving me his/her blessing.

By the way, I speak French fluently; therefore, I can 'see' what the original francophone editor(s) meant to communicate and I could therefore preserve the original meaning while also re-writing the text into correct British English.

Therefore, could the regular editors interested in this article please update this section, to let me know your intent? I would be happy to do as much (or as little ) as other editors would agree, so it's entirely up to you.
