Character development

Hi all, this page is for discussing the development of the character Septimus Heap. Please give your inputs and thoughts. "Legolas" (talk) 03:32, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

This version is greatly improved; I like it. It could probably be improved a little more, for example:

• Septimus' age is given as 14. We should add at what point in the story he's that age.
• The "Possessions" references don't really reference his possessions. One of them mentions "a small person that finds a magic ring", the other mentions a looking glass which isn't listed as one of Septimus' possessions, but neither talks of his apprentice belt, the Flyte charm or the Young Army backpack, much less of the wolverines ruining it.
• In my opinion the "Character specialty" section is still too long. For example, we mention Aunt Zelda's cabbage sandwiches twice. Are they really important to the charecter or the plot? It sounds more like a minor gimmick.
• The "series" categories seem inappropriate, it's an article on the character, not the series. For example, Harry Potter (character) has Category:Child characters in written fiction, which would fit Septimus Heap, too.

None of these problems can't be solved by editing, and in my opinion there are sufficient references and indications of real-world notability to introduce this version to the article space. Huon (talk) 11:30, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
