Terrible
editThis article is terrible. It is very NPOV and unbalanced. It really needs to be re-edited by someone who knows what they are talking about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.250.155 (talk) 16:52, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Correcting definitions of Primary and Secondary Poverty
editI'm planning to correct the definitions of Primary and Secondary Poverty to bring them in line with those in Rowntree's Book Poverty. Both groups being defined as being below the poverty line but for different reasons. The part of Poverty that deals with this can be read at the External Link to Glasgow University on the article, follow the link summary and conclusion and look at pages 295 and 296. Plagarism?
editThe following concern was raised on the article's main page:
Large chunks of this work are lifetd direct from Haralambos and Holborn, "Sociology themes and perspectives." 4th edition (1998) see as an example "Criticism of his work." Compare with page 127 in H&H. Yet I see no acknowledgement of H&H in this text.

- I independently assessed the criticism section as original research. It had already been tagged for lack of citations. I've taken the step of removing it. If other parts of this work are plagiarism, there may be copyright problems. --Geau (talk) 17:34, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
