French sauce

The article claims it's a French sauce, but "salsa" is a Spanish word, and the infobox claims its origin is Chile. So in what sense is it a French sauce? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.27.101.124 (talk) 00:51, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
