I believe a more appropriate term for saliva would be rock band, not Nu Metal, I am going to go ahead and change this 70.151.196.48 02:41, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

Although some songs kind of fit in the category of Nu Metal, overall the band falls into rock and hard rock. (I really wish I could say that they totally rock on the page, but it would be against NPOV policy.) I sometimes compare the band to Puddle of Mudd in some respects which is said to be "post grunge." However, I'd definitely say Saliva is more hard rock than anything else. Just throwing my opinion out there, but as music goes popular opinion sometimes governs the distinction between genres. - Jim 10:01, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Concerning Batista's song....

if you check the info for WWE Forceable Entry II, it is Saliva and not just Josey Scott that performs Batista's theme song, "I Walk Alone". if you don't believe it check the track listing

Incorrect RIAA certification information

This section was filled with incorrect information. The last three Saliva albums have received no RIAA certification status (Gold or otherwise) as of Nov. 22, 2009. Also, a double platinum album isn't referred to as being 4xGold. New Album

I went on Saliva's site and Looked in the Q&A section and found info on the new album so i created a page for it.

considering the questions are answered by the band I think that this is real.

I was at the Mistletoe 2006 concert hosted by KBPI on December 3, 2006. Josey announced they will be releasing a video for the new single Ladies and Gentlemen in January of 2007.

Ladies and Gentlemen used on NFL's Total Access.

Please tell me why "It was also the temporary intro theme for NFL Network's NFL Total Access show for the week leading up to Super Bowl XLI. " on the trivia for their Ladies and Gentlemen song was removed. Anyone who watched that show knew that was true. They were clearly using it. Flag

Beside "Origin" in the infobox or whatever it's called, why is the flag of Tennessee shown? In my experience, shouldn't it show an American flag? Sure, they're from Tennessee, but that's a state, not a country. People from the UK and Oceania (even Canada, like me) are gonna go, "Huh?" The Three Days Grace article doesn't have the Ontario flag, but a Canadian one. The same with Billy Talent. There really should only be a flag of the country. - Torvik 01:18, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Cleaning up the trivia section

Not only do people keep separating the info about "Ladies and Gentlemen" being used for Total Access from the other things the song was used for, but now we have people just putting the trivia stuff all over the place in the section, making it nearly impossible for anyone to find out anything in there. I'm for putting the TV usage of their songs in a new section where it's a LOT more organized. Darkpower 21:32, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

• Okay, now "In pop culture", one in which I THOUGHT was cleaned up, is once MORE disorganized. And right now I don't have the time or patience (or knowledge of how) to fix this so people will have an easier time looking through all that mess. Can SOMEONE fix this so we can easily know what song was used for what without having to see that a song that was already discussed at the top of the section gets mentioned AGAIN at the bottom? I think three different bullets were used for Ladies and Gentlemen, at LEAST (TOO excessive and TOO confusing). Put things in a neat table or SOMETHING! Just please, someone fix it and make sure it STAYS fixed (or I'll do it myself later once I decide that I have the time and patience to do something that might be undid again. Why is alternative rock necessary?

I'm not denying they're an alt. rock band, but it's because their style enters post-grunge. I don't think they really need to be labelled alt. rock, as their songs don't end there, they will always cross over into post-grunge territory. Saliva have enough musical styles without including ones that aren't necessary. If they are labelled post-grunge, you automatically know they are alt. rock. They don't have many, if any, straight up alt. rock songs that aren't also post-grunge. I'm removing it. James25402 19:36, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

34 Associated Acts?

Are there really 34 bands associated with Saliva? I find that very hard to believe. How are they ASSOCIATED with Motley Crue, Rob Zombie, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Daughtry... This isn't a "sounds kinda like" or "other bands Saliva fans tend to listen to" section. It's a list of "associated acts". --Sadchild (talk) 13:33, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

All of them were in a song together with Saliva or had something to do with a song that Saliva or one of their members were in/involved with. Motley Crue helped with Rest In Pieces, Rob Zombie did a song with Josey and the X-Ecutioners, Daughtry is supposedly planning on doing a song with Saliva, and Alice in Chains and Soundgarden were in Hero.
