Differences in UK and US releases? edit

I notice in the pre-release trailer made by the UK distributor StudioCanal, the title character Maud narrates this line:

  • Dear God, it takes nothing special to mop up after the decrepit and the dying. But to save a soul, that's quite something.

However, in the trailer made by the US distributor A24, she says:

  • Dear God, your presence graces the air, and soon, everyone will see. It takes nothing special to mop up after the dying. But to save a soul, that's quite something.

I'm not an audio expert, but I can't detect any audible evidence of editing. Both versions sound smoothly spoken to me. As I write this, it's not certain except to those who have seen the movie at film festivals if either version of the line is even in the movie or was just narrated specially for the trailers. I understand Maud does narrate during the film. Being a British production, the plot should follow what's in the UK release. If there are in fact differences between the UK and US releases they might need a mention in the Release section of the article at some point, especially if they affect the writing of the plot in some way. 5Q5| 17:13, 18 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
