"Saint Kitts and Nevis made its Olympic debut in 1996 sending ten athletes." - better: Saint Kitts and Nevis made their first appearance at the Olympics in 1996, sending ten athletes
"This was the second Olympic appearance for both Collins and Bass, both" - comma inbetween the words "Bass" and "both" needs to be replaced with a semi colon
"Collins finished fifth in the semifinals for the 200 meter event, failing to advance to the finals." - Collins placed fifth in the semifinals for the 200 meter event, and thus failed to advance to the finals.
